The 12th BAFTA Games Awards are hosted tonight by British Academy of film and Television Awards in London. The award function was hosted by Dara O’Briain. The nominations were held last month and Everybody’s Gone to the rapture grabbed 10 nominations in 9 different categories. Following EVERYBODY’S GONE TO THE RAPTURE, HER STORY AND THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT tied for the 2nd spot with 7 nominations each. Today in the Award ceremony, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture won 3 Awards. The new entry in the game, Her Story, also grabs three awards in different categories. Fallout 4 was chosen the best game of 2016 and the Best British Game 2016 was given to Batman: Arkham Knight. John Carmack, the CTO of Oculus VR was given Fellowship in 2016 award for his brilliant contribution in Virtual Reality video games. SMITE was chosen by the public for AMD eSports Audience Award 2016. Rocket League, a sports game with the mixture of Science and Soccer, won three awards in Sport, Family Game and Multi-player game in 2016 categories.
